The most expensive bottle of White Wine,Whiskey,Champagne,Cookie,Chocolate Bar!

World’s Most Expensive Bottle of White Wine, a 200-year-old bottle of Château d’ Yquem, was reportedly   sold this week for a whopping £75,000 (around US$ $122,580) in London as reported by The Guardian,London.
The Guardian said that a strong climate and an auspicious visit from the Great Comet make the 1811 vintage of an already highly prized sweet white even more valuable.

The buyer is reportedly a private collector Christian Vanneque, formerly head Sommelier at the Michelin-starred La Tour d’Argent restaurant in Paris. Vanneque reportedly said he has no intentions of simply keeping the wine as a showpiece. After exhibiting the vino in a bullet-proof, temperature-controlled display case for six years at his Bali restaurant, the SIP Sunset Grill, Vanneque plans to uncork the bottle. He has said that “I will open it in six years to mark the 50th anniversary of when I began work in Paris and share it with my wife, brothers and friends — I already know what the menu will be,” Vanneque told the Guardian. “It was not just purchased as an investment — it is also going to be an enjoyment.”

Most expensive champagne: In June 2011, professional gambler Don Jonson purchased a massive magnum of Armand de Brignac Midas champagne for $190,000. The bottle weighed 100 pounds (the equivalent of 40 regular-sized bottles) and required three men to pour.

The GUD OLD DAYS of YESTER YEARS!

How did one survive growing up in the 70′s, 80′s and 90′s?

We had no seatbelts, no airbags.. Cycling was like a breath of fresh air…

No safety helmets, knee pads or elbow pads, with plenty of cardboards between spokes to make it sound like a motorbike…

When thirsty we only drank tap water, bottled water was still a mystery…

We kept busy collecting bits & pieces so we could build all sort of things …

and we were fearless on our bicycles even when the brakes failed going downhill…

We were showing off how tough we are, by how high we could climb trees & then jumping down….

It was great fun….

We could stay out to play for hours, as long as we got back before dark, in time for dinner…

We walked to school, or sometimes we even rode our bicycle.

We had no mobile phones, but we always managed to find each other…. How?

We lost teeth, broke arms & legs, we got cuts and bruises and bloody noses…. nobody complained as we had so much fun, it wasn’t anybody’s fault, only ours

We ate everything in sight, cakes, bread, chocolate, ice-cream, sweet sugary drinks, fruits.. yet, we stayed skinny by fooling around. And if one of us was lucky to find a 1 litre coca cola bottle we all had a swig from it & guess what? Nobody picked up any germs…

We did not have Play Stations, MP3, Nintendo’s, I-Pods, Video games, 99 Cable TV channels, DVD’s, Home Cinema, Home Computers, Laptops, Chat-rooms, Internet, etc …BUT, we had REAL FRIENDS!!!! We called on friends to come out to play, never rang the doorbell, just went around the backdoor…

We played with sticks and stones, played cowboys and Indians, doctors and nurses, hide and seek, soccer games, over and over again…

When we failed our exams we were given a second chance by simply repeating the same grade…without visiting psychiatrists, psychologists or counsellors…

Such were the days…

We had freedom, success, disappointments and responsibilities. ..

Most of all, we learned to respect others…

Are YOU from that generation??

If that’s the case, mail this to all your friends from the same era…

This message will help them forget the stress that surrounds us these days….and just for a few moments puts a smile to their faces as they remember what life was really like in the good old days……

With excuses to my dear friend Mr. Raj Gopal!

India-world’s largest economy by 2050

India is expected to be the world’s largest economy by 2050, surpassing China and the US, a Citi report said.

“China should overtake the US to become the largest economy in the world by 2020, then be overtaken by India by 2050,” financial services group Citi said in the report. The estimates are based on purchasing power parity (PPP), an economic growth indicator that takes into account the purchasing power of each country’s currency, instead of the prevailing exchange rate conversion.

Indian economy is expected to be nearly $85.97 trillion on PPP basis by 2050 from $3.92 trillion in 2010, Citi said. Going by the report, India would surpass the US — currently the world’s largest economy — to become the second largest by 2040. “We expect India to overtake Japan to become the third largest economy in the world by 2015,” it noted. In terms of PPP, Indian economy — valued at $3.78 trillion — was at the fourth place in 2009. The country was behind the US, China and Japan, according to the World Bank. Citi pointed out that North America and Western Europe’s share of world’s real GDP (in terms of USD calculated on PPP basis) is expected to fall from 41 per cent in 2010 to just 18 per cent in 2050. During the same period, developing Asia’s share is predicted to rise from 27 per cent to 49 per cent in 2050. Citi emphasised that a number of major changes within a relative short time are required for India to meet future challenges. Noting that India’s infrastructure has to be improved, Citi said the country needs to relax its “hostile attitude towards FDI”, if it is to reap the benefits of rapid cross-border technology transfer that China has benefited from so greatly. “…a further round of serious deregulation of the domestic economy and further trade liberalisation are required,” it noted. The report said India’s population of working age is expected to grow by 40.7 per cent between 2010 and 2050. India has successfully raised its aggregate savings rate to levels that would allow sustained high levels of domestic capital formation (the domestic saving rate averaged 34.4 percent over 2006-2009 and the gross domestic investment rate 32.4 percent), the report added – PTI
